Little Beaver Versus Big Beaver Extension Parts

Little Beaver earth drilling equipment requires augers offered in two standard lengths across all types of drilling equipment. Standard, Heavy-Duty, Pengo-Style, Hex, and D-Series augers are offered in lengths of 36" or 42", creating holes with depths of 30" or 36", respectively. However, Little Beaver Store offers a variety of extension parts should you need to drill deeper holes of up to about 7' using Little Beaver drilling equipment or about 100' using Big Beaver Drilling Equipment. Extension parts are available for Little Beaver or Big Beaver earth drilling equipment despite Little Beaver Store not offering Big Beaver earth drills themselves.

Little Beaver & Extension Parts

Little Beaver earth drilling equipment's ideal use is post-hole digging for fencing, decking, electrical poles, boring, soil sampling, foundation repairs, and anchoring. Little Beaver drilling equipment requires augers of standard lengths because, typically, Little Beaver drills have an easier time digging through softer soil, and the softer soil does not support a structurally stable deep hole.

To dig holes deeper than 36" with your Little Beaver drilling equipment, we have a collection of auger extensions offered in lengths of up to an additional 60" for augers with diameters of 1.5" to 16" for both Screw-On and Snap-On attachment types.

For the safety of the operator, we do not advise attaching more than one extension to the drilling equipment, as one-person handling may become dangerous.

Big Beaver & Extension Parts

Big Beaver earth drilling equipment's ideal uses include soil sampling, foundation repair, and geotechnical and environmental test drilling. The Big Beaver is mounted to a mechanical steel frame for maximum strength and durability, making one-person handling possible for deeper holes reaching tougher soil types.

While Little Beaver Store does not offer Big Beaver drilling equipment, Big Beaver drilling equipment extensions will need to be Heavy-Duty and are only offered as a Snap-On attachment. For augers with diameters of 7" to 16", extensions can be attached up to 32'. For augers with diameters of 4" to 6", extensions can be attached up to 100'.

For the safety of the operator, we do not advise attaching extensions exceeding the recommended depth per auger diameter; while Big Beaver drilling equipment tends to be safer for one-person handling, misuse may become dangerous.

Adapters

Adapters will allow you to attach any Little Beaver auger and auger extension compatible with either Screw-On or Snap-On attachment type, as well as non-Little Beaver brand earth drilling equipment.
